A quick response
Just reached Bangalore, went home and got on the net to find all those lovely comments... got some nice things to share with all of you about our journey here and some great times in Bombay will keep that for another post... Also some really nice recipes brewing :)
2 things i want to comment on:
1. A few people don't like my crazy sense of humour... well, the jokes i posted here are the ones that i really liked... made me laugh out really loud and keep sniggering for some time after that.
They may have a slightly adult theme, but i don't really think there are many 6 year olds reading this blog! So for all you appalled people out there, lighten up... and join the laughter... coz once in a while there are going to be some jokes like this on the blog :)
2. Ivan is real... very much so... he is NOT someone i created... he is an Art of Living teacher, works in IBM and lives in Sydney in Australia with his very lovely wife Sarah who is also a teacher and incidentally sings opera at the Sydney Opera house. You can write to him at ivan@artofliving.org.au ... Most probably he and Sarah should be here for Navaratri this year and for all you doubters out there, come see me then and i will introduce him to you!
and now for another laugh (another one of Vikram's, click www.vikramhazra.blogspot.com to read up his blog)...
Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled Ralph out. When the Head Nurse became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable. When she went to tell Edna the news she said, "Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged; since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of another patient, I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.
The bad news is, Ralph, the patient you saved, hung himself with his bathrobe belt in the bathroom. I am so sorry, but he's dead."
Edna replied "He didn't hang himself. I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?"
TRM starts tomorrow for all us Indian teachers, i don't know if i will be able to post anything till monday... (i may sneak in somethings tonight, but no promises) so take care everyone... and read up stuff dinesh and i have written on the blog over this weekend, and definitely cook something from all the recipes that are here... AND DO COMMENT!!
Jai Gurudeva!

Bhaiya ..
i love ur jokes .. some of them i may have already heard by the time i read .. Like the present one here .. but most of them are new .. and i end up sharing it with others .. :)
This one for you -
I love you Bawa n Dinesh
You are friendly, kind and caring
Sensitive, loyal and understanding
Humorous, fun, secure and true
Always there... yes that's you.
Special, accepting, exciting and wise
Truthful and helpful, with honest blue eyes
Confiding, forgiving, cheerful and bright
Yes that's you... not one bit of spite.
You're one of a kind, different from others
Generous, charming, but not one that smothers
Optimistic, thoughtful, happy and game
But not just another... in the long chain.
Appreciative, warm and precious like gold
It won't tarnish or ever grow old
You'll always be there, I know that is true
I'll always be here... always for you.

About adult-themed jokes, I suggest you ask Guruji what he thinks about it. I am very interested to know his answer :-)
We are in a struggle to balance two opposite urges:
1) To live a Divine Life.
2) To be young and carefree, to talk and eat anything we want.
This goes back to the questions Guruji was asked:
"How to recover innocence?"
"What is the difference between innocence and ignorance?"
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... joke....
waiting for next post..
Just beyond words.. !!!!
hey khurshed bhaiyya , when is the next yesplus ttc1 n 2..

If i HAD to ask Guruji something, it would be about enlightenment...not about adult themed jokes!
and if more people did that as well, i feel His time would be *much* better utilized :)

Thanks so much for the recipes, Bawa!
I tried the stir-fry recipe. It was good but unfortunately I overcooked the veggies a little by covering it with the lid. I am sure you can tell I am a novice with cooking - I need more practice. Keep the recipes coming.......
Jai Gurudev
honestly bhaiyya...
me just waiting for a glimpse of that smiley :) face of dinesh bhaiyya ...and wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwow...the aura or the vibration or whatever...that smile spreads to others...
once i had come for the yesplus seva after my hospital hours in the evening in mahaveer jain college at jc road...there was no one out - cause ...obviously everyone was in the hall :)...listening to our bau talking and sharing in the yesplus course...and you know what bau...dinesh bhaiyya was out alone sitting on a chair...meditating or may be sleeping....:)
it was a scene of our guru in sleeping moments with eyes closed...or may be communicating with god...who knows....:)
life is a great and a beautiful mystery..full of contradictions..and so interesting after having met all of u out there....and hope to see u all soon...in vishalakshi/evening satsang today

> If i HAD to ask Guruji something,
> it would be about
> enlightenment...not about adult
> themed jokes!
Enlightenment is also connected to adult-themed jokes. That's because Life is a journey from coarseness to purity. Ask Guruji!
Most of your blog responders are still in the early developmental stages. They have done some breathing course and do not understand the philosophical underpinnings. They just praise and revere you with some juvenile comments. I can't do that.
I won't post any more comments here because there is a fundamental mismatch of interest.
Hehehe...awesome post! And a more awesome reply! Why trouble guruji with minor things! And @ivan, I DO believe he exists for real but can I still meet him? please???
Sandeep i have published your comment... but i hope you realize that you have managed to insult an entire community who read my blog!
not very enlightened behaviour what say?! :)
If you knew the very basics of Spirituality, you would know that praising revering and love are qualities that show glimpses of enlightenment... would sincerely suggest you do some of that for many more people in your life (including yourself) if not on this blog!
Life may be a journey from coarseness to purity for many... but for those who have experienced Guruji and His Grace... they are plonked right into Purity... there is nothing to do except smile, breathe, praise, love, serve and laugh uproariously at all the little surprizes life manages to throw your way!
The Guru doesn't show you the way home... He takes you and deposits you right into Home!
Thats what really happens when you do that "breathing course"
Jai Gurudeva!

Well said Bawa. What I like about you is your spontaneity with such a touch of alertness. So natural are your ways. I wonder how some fail to laugh at such jokes.
keep up the good job and know for sure it's an experience in itself to read what a person like you writes and shares :)
HAVE to meet this guy...really...
Love his writing style...@Ivan
In-law vs Outlaw
What's the difference between an in-law and an outlaw?
Outlaws are wanted.
Dear Sandeep,
Acceptance of coarseness is a sign of purity.

usually, it takes me a while to figure the joke .. like the pigeon joke, took a reaal loong while ! :)
a tubelight with an ancient choke :)
i was thinking about what Guruji's said about life - that you can consider it a joke, a dream or a burden ... P G Wodehouse says (and i write from memory, so its far from verbatim) great literature manages to capture either the utter comedy or the utter tragedy of life ... your blog conveys the joy, the fun, the comedy of life ..!
